The Firestone Pale 31 is a 4.8% pale ale coming out of sunny California and is brewed by Firestone Walker in Paso Robles.

The Pale 31 pours a light color with no head and is reminiscent of apple cider in appearance. The beer gives a crisp hoppy aroma. The smell is nice and simple, nothing too complex.

The taste is pretty tame, nothing too wild. Very refreshing and great drinkability definitely a nice step in the direction of craft beers from the standard mass produced fizzy yellow beer. The beer doesn’t stand out too much in any single way but still a good beer to throw back on a hot day or as a gift to someone who is curious about the beer world! If you are just stepping out of the mass produced beers and into the craft beer scene, this would be a great beer to start with. Take your time with bitter beers since they can take some getting used to…

I’ve finished my meal but not before enjoying this delicious pale ale. More carbonation than the last beer, nice amber golden color, nice hoppy finish. It is very similar to most pale ale’s and doesn’t stand out. It’s still delicious but so are most pale ales… The pizza was amazing!

Almost sunset and enjoying a delicious beer at a local brewery. They only brew 3 beers at a time with 2 available tonight. This first beer has a delicious carmel malt flavor, slightly bitter, mild hops. Delicious and refreshing. It’ll go perfect with my steak. Onto the next beer!
