This is the first glass of our ipa and we can finally see how it turned out.
This was an interesting brew with a ton of hiccups along the way. How did it
turn out?

When we were preparing to boil the wort we found out the thermometer reads
different at different depths but I think I got it figured out. My brother
remembered that the last batch used muslin bags to remove the hops but we
didn’t have any for the pellets this time. When we cooled the wort it
dropped to 53 degrees instantly and took an hour or so just to get it back
into the 70′s. The top of the fermentor had a small hole in it from the
seal breaking. We transfered to a secondary after 7 days, bottled the next.
All in all, it looked like we were in for a mess. So, how DID it turn out…
Excellent!
